Any Aviomania owners / pilots out there in the UK?

I've just started my gyro training and am researching how I might proceed once I get my licence.

My goal is to  have a single seat machine for mostly local fun flying, with the odd trip out.

The Aviomania Genesis CE looks like it might be suitable, but I've not found any reference to these models in any UK related websites.

Can anyone here assist?

Ian

Hey Ian,

Great to hear you are thinking of starting your Gyro journey.

My recommendation would be to concentrate on getting licensed in a standard two seater machine then revisit the single seat options after.

You’ll need to qualify in a tandem / side by side machine and then do your single seat rating.

The issue will be one of CAA restriction on non approved machines being flown in the UK - if you are still keen on single seat once you’ve qualified then either a second hand Benson or the likes would be a more viable option over a new imported machine, although saying that Francis Moyle of Phoenix Aero is in the process of putting through a single seater machine to be available in the UK - https://phoenixaero.co.uk/

Hope this helps,

All the best,

Dave

Hello Dave,

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

That seems like sound advice.

I'll also look further into the Phoenix UK site.

Thanks

Ian
